Ichiro's Malt Chichibu Paris Edition 2023 (70cl, 49.5%)

Ichiro's Malt Chichibu Paris Edition 2023 is a single malt Japanese whisky, bottled at 49.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend crafted by Ichiro Akuto from Chichibu aged in bourbon casks, quarter casks (chibidaru) and hogsheads of five to seven years old, made with different barley varieties, some of them malted by hand. The edition refers to the Parisian department stores of the second half of the 19th century, and five label versions each represent the facade of one of these buildings. It is described as intensely fruity, delicately medicinal and remarkably fresh, with refined peat at its peak at the start of the palate.
