Ichiro's Malt & Grain Blended Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Ichiro's Malt & Grain is a Japanese blended whisky from Chichibu Distillery, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It combines malt and grain whisky, and the malt comes from both the Chichibu and Hanyu distilleries. The nose is very fruity, with apricots, peaches and ripe bananas alongside vanilla and citrus. On the palate, citrus, grapefruit, peaches and apricots lead, with vanilla, a little pepper, toffee sweetness, roasted nuts and a touch of ginger. Vanilla stays dominant in the finish, as the fruit dries on the tongue and back of the palate.
