Ichiro's Malt & Grain Purple Leaf is a limited edition world blended whisky from Chichibu Distillery, combining malt and grain whiskies from Japan and elsewhere. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle and comes in a purple-themed paper carton inspired by nature and the changing seasons.
The nose offers ripe berries, floral notes and gentle spice, with vanilla and sweet oak. On the palate come plums, cherries, creamy toffee and a little spice, with some earthiness. The finish is long and smooth, with dark chocolate, nuts and a hint of smoke.
