This is a Tormore single malt from the Idols of Scotland series, Batch Six, named Robert the Bruce. It was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2020 at 5 years old, finished in Moscatel casks and bottled at 46.5% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, with an outturn of 450 bottles.
The colour is a delicate rose. The nose is pronounced malt with gentle sweetness, spiced biscuits and gingerbread spice, then chocolate with a touch of vanilla and pear. The palate is pleasantly sweet with rich grain, apple and pear skin, mild herbs, a trace of vanilla and sea buckthorn. The finish is medium and malty, with fading sweetness, herbs and a pinch of pepper.
