This is a 27 year old Speyside single malt from the Imperial distillery, which stopped production permanently in 1998, the year this whisky was distilled. Living Souls bottled it in 2024 at 42.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a refill bourbon barrel, which lets the fruit-forward distillate come through without heavy wood influence.
It is described as having ripe bananas, tinned peaches and honeyed wax, over a mineral background of damp limestone and fresh mint.
