This is a 14-year-old single malt from Inchgower, bottled for the Flora & Fauna series. Each distillery in the series carries a creature on its label as its emblem.
It is deep amber in colour. The nose offers toffee, shortbread and fruit, with a little tart and pie, and faint oil or metal. With water it turns fresher, green and nutty at first and then sweeter and floral, with acacia honey. The palate is rich and deep, sweet and very mouth-drying, with a little salt and oil. The finish is bitter and leaves a taste of almonds.
