Inchgower 14 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery sits close to the Moray Firth, and the whisky has a coastal character.
It is matured mainly in refill and European oak, which leaves a slightly waxy, full-bodied texture alongside a natural salinity.
The nose is fresh and lightly fruity, with sea breeze, apple skins and warm barley. On the palate come dried fruit, toasted nuts, briny malt and citrus peel, with spicy oak behind. The finish is long, dry and gently salty, with orange zest and oak spice.
