This is a 14 year old Inchgower from Speyside, bottled by Caskhound as number 11 in its Animals of Scotland series. It is a single cask at natural cask strength, 56.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, with 236 bottles filled.
The whisky was distilled on 15 November 2010 and matured in a refill ex-bourbon cask. It then spent nine months in a second-fill Malaga hogshead that had previously held Staoisha. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, and was bottled on 18 November 2024.
The nose offers raisins, vanilla, sour cherry and apple crumble. Peppery spice and brioche lead the palate, and the finish is long, dry and fruity.
