A 20 year old single cask Inchgower from Speyside, released by Blackadder to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary. It is Statement Edition No. 12 in the Raw Cask range.
The whisky was distilled in July 1995, matured in a sherry butt and bottled in September 2015. The cask gave 582 bottles at a cask strength of 57.6% abv, in 70cl bottles.
The nose is floral, with tangerine and apricot over honey, brown sugar and damp oak. The palate is heavy and oily, and the finish brings peppery warmth, a slight mineral saltiness, milk chocolate and malted barley.
