A Speyside single malt from Inchgower, bottled by Murray McDavid at 44.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Inchgower has traditionally been a key component in Bell's blends.
The whisky was first matured in oak casks and then finished in Portuguese Madeira casks. It was bottled without chill filtration and without artificial colouring.
The nose is honeyed, with dried stone fruit, nuts, a touch of coastal salinity and spiced oak. The palate brings dried fruit, toffee, nutmeg and cinnamon, with raisins, walnuts and a little tropical fruit from the Madeira. The finish is medium to long, with lingering sweetness, gentle oak spice and a dry note.
