Indri DRU is a cask strength Indian single malt, bottled at 57.2% ABV. Selected ex-bourbon barrels are chosen by hand and married together by the master blender. It is non-chill-filtered with no colour added.
The whisky is distilled and matured in the subtropical climate of Northern India, where 10 to 12 per cent evaporates each year. Dru is a Sanskrit word for wood, tree or a wooden vessel.
The nose offers mixed fruit, vanilla, subtle citrus, gentle spice, chocolate and honey. The palate is sweet and fruit-forward, with soft spice, vanilla and a hint of chocolate, and citrus arriving late. The finish is full-bodied and fairly long, with mixed fruit.
