A 34 year old Highland single grain whisky from Invergordon, distilled in 1988 and bottled by Blackadder in its Raw Cask series as Statement Edition #46. It is one of 269 bottles from a single bourbon hogshead, number 8168, and has not been filtered, so it may contain harmless cask sediment. Blackadder describes its Statement Series as single cask, minimal intervention and the fullest expression of cask and distillate. The nose is smooth and complex, with vanilla, crème brûlée, toffee, coconut, ripe banana, honey and light spice. The palate is silky, with vanilla, caramel and tropical fruit, and the finish is medium to long, soft and slightly sweet with honey and oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
