Ironroot – 2018-2022 4 Year Old Berry Bros & Rudd Single Cask 506 (70cl, 61.2%)

This is a single cask bourbon from Ironroot, distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2022 at 4 years old by Berry Bros & Rudd. It comes from cask 506 at a natural cask strength of 61.2%, in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration. Ironroot is a small family-run distillery in Texas, founded in 2014. At full strength the palate offers mashed banana, dark chocolate, fruit cake and spicy rye bread. A little water brings out gooseberry jam, tobacco and strawberry laces. The finish adds a final burst of oak and a slight note of coffee.
