Islay Sponge Part VI is a 13 year old Caol Ila, lightly sherried and bottled at 53%.
It brings together a 2009 refill sherry hogshead and a 2010 first fill sherry hogshead. The strength was reduced by a couple of degrees before bottling to help the two casks knit together.
It is described as peaty and rich, with the distillery character up front and a light tint of sherry over the top.
