This Isle of Arran single malt comes from a single refill sherry butt and belongs to Murray McDavid's Mission Gold series. It was distilled in 1997, matured for 27 years and bottled in 2024 at 51.3%, giving 400 bottles in 70cl size. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose shows fresh fruit pastries, buttery malt, a floral honeysuckle note and ripe cherries. On the palate, barley sugar and baked apricots meet lively citrus, with a velvety feel. The long finish brings gentle pepper, lemon peel and sweet oak, ending dry.
