Isle of Jura – 10 Years

Isle of Jura 10 Years is a ten-year-old single malt from the island of Jura, which lies north of Islay. It is described as a Single Island Malt with an unusual character. It first comes across as sharp and dry, then shows a light, smoky sweetness and a rounded, spicy aroma. In the glass it is pale gold. The nose has barley and peaches with honey in syrup, with light drifts of fragrant wood smoke. The palate starts oily and gently spicy, then moves to earthy vanilla pods and chocolate-covered raisins. The finish carries one more touch of smoke.
