An 18-year-old single malt from the Isle of Jura distillery, returned to its core range in 2018 after a few years away. It was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in former Grand Cru Bordeaux wine casks, which give it a notably fruity character.
On the nose there is cinnamon, dried berries, wine gums and hickory. The palate offers cherries, Turkish delight, milky coffee and blackcurrant jam. The finish brings chocolate biscuits, a hint of hay and orange oil.
