Isle of Jura Seven Wood is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura distillery, made with whisky drawn from seven different types of cask.
One is American white oak. The other six are French oak: Limousin, Tronçais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles and Les Bertranges.
The nose brings nutmeg, strawberry jam on toast and Brazil nuts. On the palate come lemon peel, sawdust, apricot and stewed peach. The finish is led by heavy vanilla, with a hint of smoke developing late.
