J.P. Wiser's Deluxe is a blended Canadian whisky in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is a marriage of corn and rye whiskies aged between five and nine years, made at the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery in Windsor, Ontario. The corn and rye components are distilled and aged separately before blending, in virgin oak, once-used bourbon barrels, used wine casks and repeatedly used Canadian whisky casks.
The nose offers vanilla, toffee, dried fruit and lemon over mature oak. On the palate, toasted grain and oak give way to toffee, vanilla and a peppery rye spice. The finish is medium in length, with lingering spice and lemon rind.
