Jack Daniel's – 150th Anniversary (70cl, 43%)

This is a Tennessee whiskey bottled in 70cl to mark 150 years of the Jack Daniel distillery in 2016. The story it draws on goes back to 1866, when Jack Daniel founded the distillery at the age of 17, close to a spring of cool, clear water outside the small town of Lynchburg. The nose is gently sweet, with hints of spice, nuts, oily notes and some smoke. On the palate it is mild, with caramel, vanilla and wood alongside light smoky touches, and the finish is of medium length with a little sweetness and a trace of smokiness.
