Jack Daniel's Old No.7 is a Tennessee whiskey from Lynchburg, Tennessee, bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle.
It is made by the Lincoln County Process, in which the spirit is dripped slowly through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before it goes into barrel for ageing. Jack Daniel's Distillery was founded in 1866.
The nose is sweet vanilla, toasted oak, banana and soft charcoal. The palate is smooth and mellow, with caramel, warm spice and a gentle smokiness. The finish is clean, medium in length and subtly sweet, with wood and spice lingering.
