This is a single barrel Tennessee straight rye from Jack Daniel's, drawn from barrels aged in the roof-level rickhouses of the Tanyard Hill warehouse. The mash bill is 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley. It is charcoal mellowed and aged for nearly ten years in new charred American white oak.
The 2025 Special Release is bottled at barrel proof, in a range of roughly 65% to 74.5% ABV, and is non-chill filtered. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
The nose has dark cherry, molasses, toasted rye grain, warm caramel and charred oak. The palate brings bold rye spice, candied mint, sweet tobacco, dark chocolate and cinnamon. The finish is long, with clove, leather, barrel char and rye warmth.
