Jim Beam is a bourbon bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The mash is made with at least half corn rather than other grain, and the whiskey is matured in charred barrels of American oak.
The flavour is sweet, with a rich vanilla character that comes from that maturation. It is also described as well suited to mixing, whether with cola or in a classic cocktail.
