Jimmy Rack Cask Strength Rye Batch 01 (70cl, 61.1%)

Jimmy Rack Batch 01 is a cask strength Tennessee straight rye made from ten casks. The mash is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It matured for three years and six months in new American oak, was filtered twice through maple charcoal and was bottled in December 2023 at 61.15%. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose shows orange blossom, geranium and pink pepper, with dark bread, sponge and maple syrup coming through when water is added. The palate is creamy and fruity, with dry toasted oak, clove and cinnamon. The finish is full and intense, with oak, roasted notes and spice.
