John Bowman Pioneer Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey (50%)

John Bowman Pioneer Spirit is a single barrel bourbon bottled at 100 proof. It commemorates John J. Bowman, who explored the American frontier in 1775 and became the first military commander and governor of Kentucky County. He was the great-great uncle of Abram Bowman, founder of Virginia's A. Smith Bowman Distillery. The barrels are hand selected from some of the oldest in the warehouse, and the bourbon is produced by Buffalo Trace. The nose is described as molasses, leading to brioche, bananas foster, sea salted caramel and pecan pie on the palate, and a long, breathy finish.
