John J. Bowman Limited Edition Green Label Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl, 50%)

This is John J. Bowman Green Label, a limited edition single barrel bourbon from A. Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It is bottled at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, in a 75cl bottle. Each barrel is hand-selected from some of the oldest barrels in the warehouse and released individually. The bourbon has spent a minimum of 9 years in new charred oak. It is named after John J. Bowman, the pioneer who became the first military commander and governor of Kentucky County. The distillery describes a fragrant nose of toffee, leather, figs and almonds, a full, deep palate and a long, dry finish.
