Johnett 2011 is an eight-year-old Swiss single malt made by the Etter family in Zug. Paul Etter founded the distillery in 1870, and the family added whisky to its range in 2010, having first made Johnett in May 2007. It is bottled at 44% ABV. The nose offers ripe, stored fruit such as pears, blackberries and dried plums, with raisins, buttercream, fresh vanilla and soft roasted notes. It softens further with time in the glass. On the palate a cool, light smoke appears unexpectedly, alongside soft roasted flavours and a little pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
