Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. It was formerly sold as Johnnie Walker Platinum Label and is the oldest age statement in the brand's core range.
The blend uses up to 18 malt and grain whiskies, each aged for at least 18 years in oak casks. Single malts include Cardhu, Glen Elgin and Blair Athol, with others from Speyside, the Highlands and the Lowlands.
The nose offers dried orchard fruit, vanilla pod, a hint of wood smoke, creamy malt and citrus zest. The palate is smooth and creamy, with honey, dark chocolate, cocoa, baked apple and cinnamon. The finish is long, with warming malt and light dry smokiness.
