A twelve-year-old blended Scotch whisky, Johnnie Walker Black Label in a 75cl bottle from the 1980s. It is bottled at 40%.
Tasting notes describe a soft, ripe nose of vanilla, toffee, caramel and barley sugar, with raisins, figs, candied orange peel and a background of wood smoke. The palate is rich, oily and velvety, with honey, vanilla and plums giving way to smokier, earthier flavours, herbal notes, cinnamon, ginger and a little pepper. The finish is long and warm, with old oak, soft honey, demerara sugar and lingering bonfire smoke.
