This is Johnnie Walker Black Ruby, a blended Scotch whisky that builds on Black Label with a fruit-forward character. It was created by Emma Walker from a selection of aged malts.
Some of the whiskies are matured in PX Oloroso sherry casks and casks seasoned with red wine, while others rest in ex-bourbon barrels, which add caramel and vanilla.
It is described as rich, sweet and berry-led: raspberry jam and blackberry pie with honeyed sweetness, and figs, plums and maraschino cherries adding depth.
