Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami is a blended Scotch whisky from a 2024 limited release. Master Blender Emma Walker created it in collaboration with the chef Kei Kobayashi, and it is bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. The blend is built from casks from both inland and coastal distilleries, chosen for their umami character. Only one cask in 25,000 shows that quality. It is described as a balance of sweet and savoury, with blood oranges and red berries, sweet wood spice, a touch of smoked meat and a hint of salt and pepper. The finish is long, sweet and fruity.
