Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky introduced in the early 2010s as a bolder, smokier take on Black Label. It was made for those wanting a more intense and distinctive blend within the Johnnie Walker tradition. The brand was founded in 1820 by John Walker in Kilmarnock.
Tasting notes describe smoke and sweetness, with honey, clove, wood fire smoke, spiced pear and pecan rolls. The sweetness and smoke linger after a fairly short burn, with cherry cola very late in the finish.
