Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Diageo, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It contains no grain whisky and is made from single malts alone.
Those malts come from four distilleries: Talisker, Caol Ila, Cragganmore and Linkwood. Every component is aged for at least 15 years, in casks including ex-bourbon and refill American oak. It first appeared in 1997 as Johnnie Walker Pure Malt and took the Green Label name in 2004.
The nose offers cut grass, wet moss, sea salt and pipe tobacco smoke. The palate brings wood smoke, vanilla custard, apple, pear and dark honey. The finish is smoky, with citrus zest and pepper.
