Johnnie Walker High Rye is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the first Johnnie Walker expression to disclose its grain recipe: a mash bill of 60% rye with barley and wheat.
This grain whisky is blended with single malts from Cardhu, Glenkinchie and Caol Ila, and the whisky is aged in American oak barrels.
The nose offers orchard fruit, green apple and honeysuckle, with rye spice rising behind. On the palate, lemon and honeydew give way to golden syrup, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and clove. The finish is medium to long, with oak, peppery rye and dried fruit.
