Johnnie Walker Red Label is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1960s, bottled at 43% in a large 3 litre bottle. The label reads Old Scotch Whisky, Established 1820, and names John Walker and Sons Limited as bottler.
The nose is rich and mature, with caramel, toffee, heather honey, cherry, peach and orange peel, over aged wood and smoky Oolong tea. The palate is dense and waxy, with sweet malt, baked bread, biscuits and apricot, and a brief touch of pepper and cinnamon. The finish is long, with refined peat smoke, tobacco and a sweetness of sherry or brown sugar.
