This is Johnnie Walker Red Label in a petaca, a 25cl flask, from the 1960s. It is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 43% by John Walker & Sons in Kilmarnock. The nose is soft and elegant, with heather honey, peach, pear and candied orange, a hint of old leather and a delicate touch of smoke. On the palate it is medium to full in body and creamy, with malty sweetness, nutmeg, cinnamon, sherry notes and well-integrated smoke. The finish is long and gently spiced, with a trace of dry wood and smoke.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
