Johnnie Walker Red Label is a blended Scotch whisky from Diageo, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from up to 35 grain and malt whiskies and matured in oak casks.
Talisker is among its malt components and adds a subtle smoky undertone. The brand dates to 1820, when John Walker began selling whisky from his grocery shop in Kilmarnock.
The nose is light grain and gentle smoke, with fresh fruit and a touch of spice. Sweet malt and peppery spice lead the palate, and the finish is short to medium, with spice, mild warmth and a trace of oak and smoke.
