Johnnie Walker XR 23 Year Old is a special edition blended Scotch whisky from John Walker & Sons, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It combines malt and grain whiskies, including some from Brora, Cragganmore, Linkwood and the closed Port Dundas grain distillery in Glasgow.
On the nose it offers orchid and peony blossom, spiced apple, soft aromatic teas and sweet coconut. The palate brings warm sweetness with spiced vanilla, dark chocolate and coconut cream, then gentle wood spice and soft smoke. The finish is lingering and warm, with toffee and a touch of tropical fruit.
