Jura – 13 Year Old 2006 Two-One-Two (47.5%)

Two-One-Two is a 13 year old Islands single malt from Jura, named after the number of people living on the island: 212. It was the first limited edition from the distillery after its new packaging and core range arrived in 2018. The whisky matured in ex-bourbon barrels and was then finished in Chinkapin oak casks, a North American wood also known as yellow oak. It was bottled in 2019 at 47.5% as an edition of 6,000 bottles. The nose offers sweet pastry with lemon tart, butterscotch, cinnamon and light fruit. The palate is mild and sweet, with apple, green pear, apricot and peach and a touch of nuts. The finish is long, with more fruit and nuts.
