Jura – 14 Year Old American Rye Cask (70cl)

This is a 14 year old Jura single malt, released as a tribute to the community of Jura, a close-knit group of around 212 people. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matures in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels together with hand-selected American rye barrels. It is warm gold in colour. The nose combines fresh citrus and vanilla with herbal and floral tones from the rye barrels, plus mango, fresh mint and crushed almonds. On the palate come toffee apple, pecan pie, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, cacao and hazelnut. The finish is warm and nutty, with toffee, maple syrup, guava and soft wood spices.
