Jura – Prophecy (46%)

Jura Prophecy is a heavily peated, limited single malt from the Isle of Jura, bottled at 46%. It is composed from old Jura whisky, and 10,800 bottles were produced. The nose opens with bonfire smoke and tar, followed by soft liquorice and nutmeg. On the palate there is strong peat, cinnamon and sea notes, with tar. As the peat and tar ease, the liquorice and nutmeg come forward. Water makes it sweeter and brings out some wood notes. The finish is warming, with a pleasant smokiness, a slight saltiness and good length.
