Jura Seven Wood Edition (70cl, 42%)

Jura Seven Wood Edition is a single malt from the Isle of Jura distillery in Craighouse, bottled at 42% in a 70cl bottle. As the name suggests, it matured in seven different casks. The whisky was first aged in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, then finished in French oak casks from Allier, Limousin, Tronçais, Les Bertranges, Vosges and Jupilles. The nose is of pears. On the palate come liquorice and candied orange, and the finish carries subtle smoky notes.
