Kanosuke Double Distillery Blended Malt Japanese Whisky 2025 Release (70cl, 59%)

This is a limited-edition Japanese blended malt that brings together whisky from the Kanosuke Distillery and the Hioki Distillery in Kagoshima Prefecture. It was produced by Komasa Kanosuke Distillery Co., Ltd. and bottled in 2025 at 59% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in a mix of re-charred ex-shochu casks, sherry casks and rum casks, a approach to cask management that is a hallmark of Kanosuke releases. The nose is rich and layered, with dried apricot, plum compote, custard cream and cinnamon. On the palate it is creamy, with ripe pear, white peach, raisins, ginger and crème brûlée. The finish is long and warming, with salted caramel, aged wood and spice.
