Kavalan – Solist Bourbon (70cl, 57.1%)

Kavalan Solist Bourbon is a Taiwanese whisky bottled at 57.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The Kavalan distillery was founded in April 2005 by the King Car Group, one of the largest food and drink producers in Taiwan, which brought more than 30 years of experience in brewing beer. Its four pot stills were supplied by the Scottish coppersmith Forsyths of Rothes. The malt is unpeated Optic barley, mostly from Bairds of Inverness, and the water comes from the Snow Mountains in Taiwan. The warmer, more humid climate matures whisky faster than in Europe, with an angels' share of 15 to 18 per cent a year.
