Kavalan – Solist Ex-Bourbon Cask 2014 (70cl, 57.1%)

Kavalan Solist Ex-Bourbon is a single cask Taiwanese single malt, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2020 from one American white oak ex-bourbon cask. It is bottled at cask strength, 57.1%, in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. Only 183 bottles were filled. Every bottle in the Solist range carries a serial number, and the whisky has a golden yellow colour. Fresh tropical fruit, vanilla, coconut and spicy oak mark the nose. The palate is intense and fruity, with vanilla and oak, a fruity sweetness and some bitter wood. The finish is long and creamy, with vanilla and oak.
