Kavalan – Solist Ex-Bourbon Cask 2014 (70cl, 57.8%)

This is a single cask Kavalan from Taiwan, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 57.8% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle, and 179 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The whisky matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. The nose is fresh tropical fruit, vanilla, coconut and spicy oak. The palate is intense and fruity, with vanilla, oak, fruity sweetness and a touch of bitter wood. The finish is long and creamy, with vanilla and oak.
