Kavalan Solist Madeira Christmas Edition is a single cask single malt whisky from Taiwan, bottled at cask strength, 57.8%, in a 70cl bottle. Only 198 bottles were filled, and the label carries a Christmas design.
The whisky matured in a cask that previously held Madeira, the Portuguese sweet wine, which is made by exposing the wine to high temperatures. That process encourages intense flavours, which pass into the Kavalan spirit.
