Kentucky Owl Confiscated Kentucky Straight Bourbon (48.2%)

Kentucky Owl Confiscated is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 48.2% ABV. It takes its name from an episode in the brand's history. Kentucky Owl was founded in 1879 by the pharmacist Charles Mortimer Dedman, whose distillery on the banks of the Kentucky River made what was known as the wise man's bourbon. In 1916, shortly before Prohibition, the federal government confiscated the Dedman family's entire stock of whiskey, and it was never seen again. This bottling is a tribute to those vanished barrels.
