Kentucky Owl Wiseman Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey

This is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Kentucky Owl, a brand with roots in 1879. That year a local pharmacist, Charles Mortimer Dedman, built the C.M. Dedman Distillery on land by the Kentucky River that he and his new bride had received as a wedding gift from his adopted father, a town judge. For decades the distillery produced "The Wise Man's Bourbon" under Distilled Spirits Plant Designation No. 16, making it one of the original distilleries in Kentucky.
