Ki One – Batch 1 Virgin American Oak (70cl, 40%)

This is Batch 1 of Ki One, a Korean single malt matured in virgin American oak and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The name comes from the Korean Ki Wan, meaning beginning and hope. The distillery stands in the Namyangju Mountains, north-east of Seoul. Summer heat is said to drive the spirit deep into the wood, while the extreme cold of winter pushes it back out into the cask. It is presented as Korea's first single malt whisky, shaped by the country's four distinct seasons.
